Founded and owned by Castleforge LLP, we manage the residential assets within Castleforge’s growing UK portfolio. With buildings in over 20 towns and cities, our focus is on high-quality, mid-market rental homes that deliver both social impact and regeneration in local communities.
As CEO, Ian Scott will lead our 53-strong in-house team across property and asset management, leasing, communities, facilities, and development. He will also oversee our strategic growth plans, which include expanding the portfolio to more than 5,000 homes over the next five years.
With over 12 years of senior experience in the residential and Build-to-Rent sectors, Ian has managed transactions totalling more than £1.2 billion throughout his career. Before joining us, he served as Group Managing Director at Livingway UK, where he oversaw investment and asset management for a major Build-to-Rent portfolio in the North of England. Before that, Ian spent almost a decade at Lambert Smith Hampton, where he became the youngest director in the company’s history and established its Build-to-Rent offering in 2015.
“This is a fantastic time to be joining Ocasa Homes,” said Ian. “The company has a strong track record in social impact investment and an exceptional team of talented people. I’m excited to lead the next phase of growth and deliver long-term value for the communities we serve and our investors.”
Our senior leadership team has also expanded in 2025 with the appointment of Lorna Havercroft as Chief Financial Officer. Lorna brings extensive financial expertise from her previous roles as CFO at Dandara and Head of Construction Finance at Laing O’Rourke, where she spent 13 years. She will ensure Ocasa continues to grow sustainably while maintaining a responsible investment approach across its UK portfolio.
Michael Kovacs, Founding Partner at Castleforge LLP, added:
“Ocasa Homes has built a strong reputation in the UK rental market through its focus on quality, ESG-led investment, and community impact. Ian is a respected leader in the Build-to-Rent space, and with his expertise, we’re confident Ocasa will continue to optimise and scale successfully in the years ahead.”
